Gotcha Time is Almost Here!

Well, baby girl we will meet in about one hour. I am a little nervous but very excited to finally meet my daughter. It has been a long and sometimes difficult path that I am so thankful God did not let me stray from. A lot has changed since I sent in my application to Great Wall November 4, 2005. I met and fell in love with your daddy and you have a brother named Max, and grandparents that love you so very much. We are all so anxious for you to be a part of our family and hope you will come to feel the same way over time. This transition may be hard for you at times but we will all get through it; you are so worth every tear and every anxious moment I had. I never asked, "Am I doing the right thing? Is this worth it?" The answer is yes, yes, oh yes.

I have to get ready to leave now. We are meeting two other families at the White Swan and are heading to the official's office in 30 minutes. Pictures and video will be coming this evening. Thanks to all for your support and prayers over the years and especially now. Let's hope Mary Hannah has a smooth transition.

Saturday In Beijing

E is unable to access blogger so I volunteered to post on her blog for her! I think tomorrow is family day for them in Guangzhou.

It is 6:30AM here in Beijing. we came in at 6:30pm last night from Chicago.
Our flight from Akron was delayed and so we missed our connecting flight from
Chicago to Hong Kong. God was watching over us as we were able to get on a
flight from Chicago to Beijing at the last minute and we were still able to get
Economy Plus seats we had purchased previously. We made it here but of course
our bags did not - along with about 2200 other bags that were still in Chicago!
We should get them today though. Only thing we had to buy was a $13 can of
deodorant and hand wash the undies. Today we are having a tour with other Great
Families that are here (three other families, I've already met one from Atlanta
this morning). Going to Tianeman Square, Summer Palace, Forbidden City and The
Great Wall (my favorite)! Luckily we do have our camera with us.

Leavin' On a Jet Plane

We are leaving in a few hours for Beijing! I can't believe the time is actually here. I have dreamed for years about having a daughter and now I will. Max doesn't know that his world is about to be turned upside down. Mommy and Daddy go away for a couple of weeks and come back with a baby girl. Lian Hua, we will meet on Monday May 30 at 2:30 pm. I can't wait!!
